Really anxious for some growth & a couple new prods

So, here's a quick update.

First, I apologize for the lack of a photo. I absolutely love to take and post pics of my hair but unfortunately, I don't have my camera and I have to post when I have the time (not often). The second job is going well. It's only a 3 month stint so I'll be back in Dec. Well, I'll have work and school but at least it'll only be one job and school.

I have been itching to see if I have any major growth. I usually am not this impatient during my stretch. I am only 5 weeks. I have 5-7 weeks left. I guess BSL is just so elusive I am becoming overly anxious.

Anyhoo, with the change in season is coming some small changes in my regimen:

1. I co-washed last week & it made for easy detangling on the weekend so I think a midweek cowash is a useful addition to my regimen. I don't do it cause I'm lazy but I really need to start making the time.

2. I am going out to get the new Elasta QP mango butter moisturizer (they've added olive oil so now it's olive oil and mango butter - thanks Traycee). I'll let you know how I like it.

3. I read on Course Hair, Long Hair about how she incorporates coconut oil into her regimen to make detangling easier. I'm very curious and will be giving it a try.

4. Finally, I have gotten some great advice from Lavendar and I have done some research and thought about it for over a month and I have decided henna is ON. I will post the details.

That's all folks! Thanks for reading :)

  1. Oh,wee! I know that anxious feeling all too well. I decided to stop posting so many length checks. Like your page. I like how you change it up every now and then. I too am a huge EQP MB fan. I look forward to you and Traycee's reviews. I hope your henna experience works out, Lavendars henna gloss recipe is amazing.

I need some advice. As you know I am a huge fan of your buns.
Today is the first time I've did a bun with pins and I love it. Do you do yours like this? And if so is there any tips with using pins instead of hair bands or scrunchies. Is there a such thing as using too many pins? Answer at your leisure....I know your super busy. Going to stalk a few of your bun pics now.

  4. When did you reach APL? I've seen women claim it only took them 4-5 months to go from APL to BSL and I am in awe! I'm only 5'3" and I'm about 3" or so from BSL and its been 5 months already! I think it is elusive because its a further distance than any of the previous landmarks, at least on me SL-APL is shorter than APL-BSL.

Traycee was raving about the QP mango butter but I refuse to switch from the staples I know work for me to slide back into PJ'ism!!! LOL. Can't wait for your review!

@Diary - henna has to be done on a weekend...Sunday will be the day and I will post. Even if it's a nightmare and I don't think it will be :) Thanks for the nom!! It's my first! I'm gonna check when I can. For some reason it isn't working right now.

@Ebony - Thank goodness for my little timeline on the side! It took me 9 months from SL to APL lol check the pic on the sidebar for my SL pic. BSL better be this Dec - lovely birthday gift it would be

  6. Ok I was rushing out this morning.

LaQT here goes: I only use pins in my buns. I only use 2 pins. I forgot my youtube password (hehe) but I still have that video posted of how I do my buns. I find when I airdry, my buns are really nice and thick. I just do the scarf method to keep the roots calm :)

Lemme know how you enjoy bunning. It's one of my fav styles...esp since I have little time.
